How to Update Product Descriptions Stored in a Custom Shopify Metafield

This article will explain how you can update their product description in a custom metafield instead of the default product description.

If your store uses a custom metafield instead of the default product description, ConvertMate allows you to update the description within that metafield.

Follow these steps to set it up:

  1. Enable the option "Write back product description to a custom metafield."

  2. Enter the metafield name in the format <namespace>.<key>. Example: custom.info.

  3. Save your settings. ConvertMate will then fetch your original descriptions from the specified metafield.

After this setup, you can run a new 'On-Page Magic' job, and your custom product description will be included in the updates.
